K&M SB Closing
Around about 2004 Starbucks opened Kenneth & Madison. Since it was close to family it was a great place to ride to and work from. It has been my goto location since then. After 12 years Starbucks is closing the cafe and moving to a brand new drive through @ Madison & Hazel. The old store closes today @ 5pm.
The new place is different. That’s OK. I’m looking forward to new times at the new place. It opens on July 28th at 430am. 🙂
The new place is going to be here: https://goo.gl/maps/bcM8NqXrfDQ
Yup! It’s been a long time coming and it’s finally here! The only thing I’m missing is a ‘splash of lemon aid’ and an 8-cup press!
Hopefully they add ‘custom requests’ to handle the first and add an item for the press!!
Lovely times. I still talk to my barista. Gotta keep the human in the system.
Started the first wing. Pretty happy with progress. Working flat has made the traditional knot stitch more difficult and slower. Makes me want to knit though the back loop. But doing that would make the yarn settle differently making the work look different. Keeping it traditional.
Looking back the piece had some mistakes completely due to my own in-attention to either the stitches in the piece or the pattern.
I still need to find beads for the roasted pumpkin wild silk version.
Plus I think I have someone to give this marino version to.
I’m starting this one for my coffee table. It’s in Lizbeth’s Cranberry Bush size 20 thread. Pattern is here.
I’ve been working on this one for a little more than two years. I’m almost done! It’s a simple lace pattern done in a lace/fingering weight yarn (http://goo.gl/4A7GQf) made of a blend of Yak and Silk. The color is ruby, and it’s as soft and warm as it looks. The pattern is here: http://goo.gl/WfxTDT
That’s right guys (and gals)! Real men knit!
